Belle
September 21, 2007
Hello. We are still here, although Winifred is currently on vacation in the Alps not answering her cell phone… I’d imagine she found yet another skin instructor to molest. Oh well, good for her! She is quite the enchantress.
Watch for us to reappear within a month.
With love,
Wilhelmena

Ah, mes petites cerises, it would not be opening week without the requisite headaches, non? It seems we are going to be moving our 7pm show to the MAD Agency runway on the sim of Kmadd Enterprise. The irony of the parcel name in light of recent events is not something I can contemplate without another glass of champagne or five.

Our first week…
August 4, 2007
A week full of hangovers, pool boys and scandals.
Yes, our show is still on for today. We will be at Aspire Isle, but we need to get back into contact with Bianca Darling as well – and she is a darling.
In regards to our lovely Iris being outed, the mannerisms that you all took it in was “honteux”. You simply found our oeuf de pâques; our easter egg! We’ve worked hard.
We would like Iris to stay on. We appreciate her contributions to our campaigns, and no one can stop that. We make what we want. Willa, mid-draw on her cigarette, more eloquently said, “We make whatever the fuck we want. Deal with it.” It appears that semester or two in California really bolstered her vocabulary. She has more courage than most of us. Je l’admire Willa.
We’ll be seeing you, each and every season. “Deal with it.”
Behind The Curtain…
August 2, 2007
This is Iris Seale. It seems that I’ve been…outted. Do any of you guys play ARG’s? I used to when I was in high-school. They’re basically online puzzle-branches put together by random people and present a story as you solve the puzzles. When players would find a puzzle that wasn’t finished yet or a mistake that exposed too much of the story and/or the people behind the puzzles, this was called Pulling The Curtain. Well, the curtain has been partly pulled on Mercury and I might as well tell you about it.
Mercury was started in March by two designers–NONE OF WHOM ARE TENSHI VIELLE, who didn’t know I was involved until today when she confronted me about it. The other two designers asked me to join in the project in April. They had heard through friends of friends that my majors at school are Theatrical Costume Design and Theatre History with an emphasis on costuming. Since their idea was to combine modern fads with period clothing, they figured I’d be useful. Honestly, I haven’t done much with Mercury except design about three of the outfits and make some of the pieces. I’m definately the least-used Whitfield sister, as some have observed. The three of us liked the project because it let us leave or ordinary design styles (which we’d based our brands on) behind and do whatever we felt like. I know some people think it’s dishonest to design new brands under alts and I can see their point of view.
This is the first time I’ve worked on a collaborative project in SL and it’s been a great experience. I’m taking this blog entry to announce my departure from the Mercury group. It was my idea to send Tenshi the Dancing Pirate outfit for her fashion show. I just thought she’d like it and didn’t think that the thread would get traced back to me. I was careless and didn’t look at the information on my vendors for Mercury, which led to my normal SL name being left on some pieces. It’s basically my fault that this has come down on Mercury and now they’re being associated with Tenshi Vielle, which none of the designers are particularly happy about. I’ve asked another designer to take over my spot in Mercury and will be resigning as of now.
Thanks, Whitfield sisters, it was great to be involved in it for this long. I learned a lot.

Welcome to Mercury Couture.
July 30, 2007
We are now officially open. We will hold a fashion show on Aspire! Isle on August 4 at 7pm SLT. We will debut one more outfit there before starting our fall line. If you want to be the first to see the outfit, you should be there.

early test shots, may 07
Thank you to all who attended our opening party on Saturday morning. We appreciate the warmhearted welcomes from our fellow second life avatars, and we recieved a very touching message of congratulations from Esmerelda Oh of Queen Couture, welcoming us to Second Life and inviting us to tea. It was wonderful to have such an acceptance.
Lovely tribute!

Mercury Couture has already struck the hearts of so many, and I am thankful to Dakota Buck for the lovely tribute piece she put out. Luckily, she realizes how packed our schedules are, so she simply created an avatar in effigy to the grandness of the Whitfield House.

It looks just like our Whilly, in all the preview pictures! We are flattered, to say the least – and we can’t wait to see all of you this week!
It is nearly time.

Bonjour.
July 16, 2007
Even though we have pushed back the opening of our couture house one month, we are quickly coming to realize the opening is very near!
Please, we hope you enjoyed the review copies that have been passed out in the recent months, and we thank you for being patient.
